Jeff Bezos has invested $30 billion in Blue Origin since 2000, The Wall Street Journal reports, citing relevant documents. That includes the $2 billion Bezos contributed to the space technology firm's first — and oversubscribed — outside funding round, which just raised $10 billion. Blue Origin is hoping to boost revenue from $1.4 billion this year to $30 billion in 2030, but much of that plan hinges on the firm's satellite-communications business, which hasn't yet sent any devices into orbit. And, of course, there's major competition, mainly from Elon Musk's SpaceX.
